Description
The apron gear cover that came with my 7x16 HiTorque 5100 Mini Lathe from littlemachineshop.com was just a thin, flimsy cutout of blister/clamshell plastic sheet. I replaced it with this print, which is much stronger, blocks more chips, and pushes the gears fully into the housing so they don't rub against the cover.
You will need to remove the existing cover and pins and then redrill + tap the holes so you can use proper threaded fasteners. I used M3 pan-head screws.
Because the LMS HiTorque 5100 Mini Lathe is a version of the Sieg SC2 Mini Lathe, this print may work for other similar derivative lathes.
