Description
I've drawn up and printed my own o-ring face seal (ORFS) caps and plugs for working on hydraulic equipment. These are lighter to carry around, especially if you do field service, and much cheaper than the steel ones. Obviously, these are not intended to hold pressure. Do not energize a hydraulic circuit while using these, you've been warned! Most of the time, you just need a cap or plug to stop a line from leaking or to keep dirt out of your system while servicing a machine. These are a cheap, easy to print alternative to the heavy, expensive steel versions. The plug has an o-ring groove in it so you can use an o-ring just like the normal steel fittings. The caps and plugs also are intended to just be spun on hand tight, which is why I printed them with grips rather than wrench flats. Recommend printing in PETG for better chemical resistance. (Oil for when they get dirty, and brake-clean when you clean them)
