Description
This remix was created to achieve a cleaner aesthetic and better cable management for the Prusa CORE One. I have unified two popular designs to permanently eliminate the "inelegant" Velcro straps provided by default, ensuring that the cables and PTFE tube remain perfectly aligned horizontally with the printer's swing arm.
By integrating these two components, you get a solid cable management system that prevents cables from sagging or interfering with the printer's motion, maintaining a sleek and professional look.
Recommended Print Settings
To ensure maximum durability and the correct mechanical tension for the snap-fits:
Material: PETG (Highly recommended for heat resistance and flexibility).
Perimeters: At least 15 (to ensure the part is structurally solid).
Infill: 100%.
First Layer Speed: Lower to 25-35 mm/s for better bed adhesion and a clean surface finish.
Reliability & Feedback
As of now, this setup has been tested on 10 prints without showing any signs of stress or wear. It remains solid and holds the cables perfectly.
Optional Features & Tips
Zip Ties: Following the original extension design, I kept the slots for two nylon zip ties. However, thanks to the improved fit, I personally found them unnecessary. They are there if you want extra peace of mind.
Damping Contact Points: Some users might find it bothersome that, during specific high-speed movements, the eyelets may touch the side or rear walls (left and back sides). If you want to dampen the noise or protect the surfaces, you can reuse two of the discarded Velcro straps and wrap them around to act as soft bumpers at the contact points.
Any feedback is welcome - let me know how it performs on your machine!
