Description
This is a compact bottle opener designed primarily for Chubby Gorilla–style e-liquid bottles and similar caps. It functions like a standard bottle opener, using a shaped internal tooth to engage the cap and provide leverage for easy removal.
To use, insert the tooth into the appropriate recess on the bottle cap and lever the tool downward to pop the lid off the bottle.
The design is simple, robust, and intended for repeated everyday use.
Print settings & notes
Orientation:
Print on its side for best strength. This aligns the layer lines with the levering force used when opening bottles.
Walls / Perimeters:
Use 3–4 walls for durability and resistance to flexing.
Infill:
~15% infill is sufficient. Higher infill is unnecessary due to the wall thickness doing most of the work.
Supports:
Enable tree supports only.
Supports are required only for the central internal section and should not be needed elsewhere when printed on its side.
Material:
PLA+ or PETG is recommended for improved toughness if the tool will see regular use.
Middle slot (intentional feature):
The rectangular slot in the centre is by design.
Chubby Gorilla bottles have a protruding nozzle, and this slot allows the nozzle to pass through while the tooth engages the cap correctly. This is where the tree supports will end up supporting.
