Technics linear tracking turntable replacement feet

This is a replacement feet for Technics linear tracking turntables. I know for sure it works with SL-J1 and SL-J2, but I suspect it is compatible with all linear tracking models.

It reuses the original spring and screw and is designed around a vibration dampening ball.

These rubber feet on the Technics turntables tend to perish, which make the whole turntable useless, since nothing holds the spring correctly. I originally designed a 100% replica of the original feet and printed in TPU, but that was, at least with the TPU I had, way too hard. So I decided to design it around 20x15mm vibration dampening balls I had at home (branded Arris, but easier found on aliexpress as "vibration dampening ball").

This results the turntable standing higher than originally, mainly because of the lower part of the feet needs to be thick enough to hold the mount of the rubber. It also means that you must replace all 4 feet or none of them to have a leveled turntable. The turntable also becomes a bit more wobbly than originally, but it still works well.

I printed the lower part from fairly hard TPU, and everything else from hard plastic. The lower part also needs some support.

Assembly:

1. Grab the upper parts, a dampening ball and a screw
   

2. Put the dampening ball in the upper_rubber part and drive the screw through the upper_player part. Make sure the screw head is on the flat side (the screw is not easily removable after assembly)
   

3. Put some superglue on the upper_rubber part
   

4. Glue the two upper part together
   

5. Grab the lower part , and put the other side of the dampening ball into it

6. Put the original spring into the ridge of the lower part

7. Add the ring on top of the spring. This won't be held very well but it will be when you attach it to the turntable. The ring is mainly needed to pretension the spring
