Description

A while ago I did a model based off of Moonberry's rendition of Strahd Von Zarovich. Today I've made another one based on Moonberry's rendition of Rictavio / Van Richten. Both with Moonberry's permission of course. I've included some reference images and the fbx file output from Rodin in case you'd like to try working on this as well.

For my process this was made with Rodin Gen 2 and spun from some reference images - I used the split to parts functionality on this which work nicely. I also used the inflate tool on front faces only to fill in the back of the trenchcoat which worked out really well - I really like this approach over other methods I've tried. As usual I posed and sculpted this model making the eyes, glasses, cane, beard and book from scratch. I was like 99% done and ready to post this and then noticed the fingers on the staff didn't look right and then I noticed that he was missing his beard so I went back and did some more work. Now there are four variants to this model - no glasses, clean shaven, no glasses beard, glasses clean shaved and glasses + beard.

For printing on FDM flip him onto his back and print from there and use auto tree supports. I recommend 0.08mm and printing without the baseplate but you do you. For Resin I've added presuppported files here which you can use.

That's it for Rictavio / Van Richten - follow ultra talented and amazingly avid Labyrinth fan and objectively incredible Moonberry Maple on reddit over here: https://www.reddit.com/user/Moonberry_maple/ !
