Description
My workspace was full with an army of battery chargers and other power bricks… You know the ones, the bulky "brick" style chargers with the electric prongs sticking straight out of the back. They don’t sit flat on a shelf, they tangle up in drawers, and they generally exist just to be annoying. I love my Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW), but I couldn't find a way to get these things off my desk and onto the wall without them falling off.
So, I sat down and designed this HSW Prong Holder! :D
The solution is simple but effective. This hex-plug features two precisely measured slots that mimic a standard wall outlet. You just "plug" your charger or power brick directly into the HSW. It uses the weight of the device and the friction of the prongs to keep everything snug and secure. Now, my chargers are organized, visible, and, most importantly, not taking up valuable desk real estate. It’s a total game-changer for anyone dealing with "brick" clutter! :)
This is a quick and easy print, but you'll want to make sure your tolerances are dialed in so the prongs fit snugly.
Material: I used PLA, but PETG is great if you want a bit more "flex" in the slots.
Layer Height: 0.2mm works perfectly.
Infill: 15-20% Grid or Gyroid is plenty.
Supports: None needed!
Note: This is designed for standard Type A/B prongs (North America/Japan). If you have different international plugs, let me know and I might be able to tweak the design!
