Description
Say hello to Carbon 13, the latest generation of 3D printable action figures.
Carbon 13 introduces a hybrid joint system that preserves the dynamic range of articulation you expect from the 13 series while freeing up space for sleek, sculpted body forms.
This is the "type F" version, which has a petite and feminine build. The more masculine type M is also available.
Like all Lucky 13 models, Carbon 13 comes together with nothing but plastic and patience. No glue or additional hardware is needed.
At 100% scale, Type F will be 127mm (5") in height - about 1:13 scale to a real human.
And of course, Carbon 13 is compatible with many of the remixes our amazing community has created for Dummy 13 and friends.
Lastly, please note that this is a beta release. It has been polished to a level that I am comfortable releasing - but your feedback will help make it even better!
This model consists of body parts and joint parts.
Body parts are most of the visible model, and they can be printed in any filament type. (I would still recommend avoiding brittle materials like silk PLA).
Joint parts make up the mechanical connections, and need to be printed in a tougher material like PETG or ABS. My usual material of choice is ASA. PLA is not recommended because it likes to "creep," causing the joints to get loose after a week or two.
The parts are provided in a few different formats. You can use this chart to pick the style that works for you.

Side note: the Type M version of Carbon 13 uses many parts that look quite similar but aren't exactly the same. I strongly recommend that you print the two versions separately to avoid mixups.
Because you will be printing lots of small parts, good bed adhesion is absolutely required. Wash your print sheet with soap and water, and consider applying some adhesive or including a brim on particularly troublesome parts.
Here are my recommended print settings:
Layer height: 0.15mm
Infill: 20%
Supports: none
Brim: only as needed
Perimeter generator: Arachne

If you printed the parts on runners, be sure to trim off any excess plastic with flush cutters or files.
All parts should snap firmly together with moderate force (please don't make your fingers bleed).
Assemble the parts as shown, paying close attention to the orientation of each part.
During the Early Access period, these files were under a personal use only license. Now that they have released publicly, they have been transferred to a Creative Commons Attribution - Non Commercial - Share Alike license.
For remixers: Please note the share alike clause requiring that your remixes be shared under the same license.
This model's license terms do not allow commercial use. If you would like to sell prints of this model, you must obtain a Seller License through my Printables Club.
