This is the Beholder, dreaded and loved by players and Dungeon Masters alike. No other monster, except perhaps for the titular Dragon, is so iconic of Dungeons and Dragons. It is almost as old as the game itself, introduced in the first game supplement Greyhawk (of which it graced the cover) in 1975. It has been a part of the game ever since.
Few other monsters have undergone such drastic changes in physical appearance over the years either. This model is representative of the first edition AD&D era depiction. The original is approximately 30 mm tall, which is much too small given the Monster Manual's description of a 4 to 6 foot diameter sphere. Feel free to enlarge to 200% or more for your in-game uses.
With this model, the entire box of Dwellers Below is now available. The printed versions took over the original box for a photo shoot, forcing the originals to wait on the tabletop.
