Description
I've seen a number of skateboard deck brackets/holders, however, most hold the deck horizontally and I needed something to display a deck vertically for my youngest child. The few vertical display brackets I found also were very intrusive onto the deck surface and I wanted something that minimally showed on the deck and didn't require using the truck screw holes on the deck.
I designed this for an 8.25" deck specifically. It is designed to securely hold the deck while allowing the deck to be simply slid up and out of it the holder.
The top bracket is designed to be printed in two pieces and glued together with tabs designed in (CA glue or something like an ASA slurry glue will work great) so that it will fit on a small printer. The bottom is a one piece print.
As this is designed to hold a skateboard deck and be screwed into the wall, I would not recommend printing in in PLA with thin walls. In my case, I printed it in ASA with 6 walls and 20% gyroid infill which is plenty strong to hold the deck, but also to not collapse the screw holes when mounting it.
If you have any interest in commercial use (say for a skate shop or similar), contact me. I am not allowing re-mixes on this but may produce other board sizes).
