Ducky Iron Sights

Introducing the Ducky Sights! Fully adjustable iron sights, with low hardware requirements. Perfect for high FPS foam dart blasters and maybe even airsoft. Compatible with both Picatinny and NATO Rails.

Required Hardware

• 3x M4x30 DIN912 Screws

• 2x 4mm Washer

• 3x M4 Nuts

• 1x M4x20 DIN912 Screw (25mm also possible, but not recommended if the blaster has a steep ballistic curve)

• Superglue

Printing

For Bambu-Users there is a 3mf file available to quickly start printing. For everyone else, here are the recommended settings:

• Both main sight pieces 3 perimeters with 25% Infill of your choice.

• The two knurled knobs as well as the sliding rear sight part are recommended to be printed at 100% Infill.

• Supports are needed for the rear main piece. Since this section is pretty prominent, I chose a 0mm interface spacing pattern with the default 0.2mm Z-distance. The rest can be printed without any support.

Orient the parts as follows:

Assembly

The Assembly should be straight forward.

Press the head of the M4x20 screw into the front adjusting wheel. If the tolerances are too lose, add a bit superglue. Slide one of the three Nuts into the slot in the front (it may be tight, but make sure it sits well). Then thread the M4x20 screw (with the adjusting wheel attached) into the nut from below (this can't be done then the sight is attached to something).

For the rear sight hold the sliding piece gently in its position, while threading in the M4x30 screw. On the other side put the two washers (important for smooth operation) and thread the screw into the rear adjusting wheel (it will be firm, dont overtighten it). 

You can put two pieces of a colorful filament into the rear sight - I used neon green.
