Description
Golf Ball Marker Display (Magnetic)
I collect a marker from every course I play. I was tired of just keeping them in a cigar box, but I also didn’t want to spend the money on a display and I didn’t really like the ones I found online either, so I designed my own.
Each display holds 12 “standard” golf ball markers. Markers do vary a bit in size, but I sized each pocket large enough to hold the biggest ones in that standard category.
The markers are held in place with 5mm x 3mm magnets that are seated in the print. The press fit is already pretty good, but I added a small drop of CA glue in each hole before pressing in the magnets just to be safe. I’ve included a link to the magnets I used.
I went with 12 markers per display so each unit stays small enough that I can stack them in a drawer when they’re not being displayed.
Each slot has a depression at the bottom, so when you want to remove a marker you just push from the bottom. The top edge pops out, making it easy to grab.
The stand prints as a separate piece from the display. The fit is good. Mine will not slide off just from picking it up, but if you want it to be permanent, a little CA glue will fuse them together.
