Phone Cooler Mount for Clamp-style Controller

With the recent release of Turnip drivers for the Snapdragon Elite chips, I thought it was time to take care of the only thing keeping me from using my phone to it's full potential: Heat management.

As I was already more than happy with my current controller (Abxylute S9), I created this bracket to adapt an off-the-shelf cooler that I bought on Aliexpress (TH16 Pro), rather than buying another controller altogether. This adapter should work on other USB clamp-type phone controllers with around 185mm of clamping width, but it was designed to fit precisely that model of phone cooler. Also, you will need a phone/case with Magsafe to attach it to the cooler.

I'm really happy with how this turned out; I was a bit worried about the cooler's magsafe not being strong enough, but it's holding up OK. The ergonomics do suffer a bit due to the added weight and the phone being moved forward, but it's still plenty usable, and now I can play so many, many games while I'm on the train, or visiting family.

As a bonus, the Magsafe allows you to use the controller in portrait mode (e.g. for DS games), and the entire package fits snugly into the Abxylute S9's travel case, making it really easy to pack and unpack in seconds.

*This last item allows you to power the phone and cooler from a single charger or external battery bank at the same time, which I strongly recommend you do if you want to avoid excessive stress on your phone's battery.
