Description
This is a modular system for mounting small components in 10” mini racks. The system is designed around a rectangular plate mounted to a 10" carrier frame.
There are 1U and 2U versions of the carrier frame. The 1U frame holds 2 plates horizontally, and the 2U frame holds 4 plates vertically. There are 2 versions of each size, a recessed version and a flat mount version which doesn't require supports. All are designed to use M3 heat set inserts. Plates are secured to the frame with M3x8 or M3x10 screws.
I have created a series of plates for common components as well as a blank plate. STEP files are available for modifications or additions using the blank plate. The plates I have made are:
Blank Plate
Raspberry Pi 3 (requires 4 m2.5 heat set inserts)(This might fit the RPi 5 but I don’t have one to test)
Raspberry Pi 4 (requires 4 m2.5 heat set inserts)
3x Keystone Plate
2x 2.5”: SSD Carrier
JetKVM Plate (Untested as I don’t have a JetKVM yet. This was designed based on the 3D model from JetKVM. )
Cable Pass through slot (4mm, 6mm, 8mm)
Cable Pass through Brush (Experimental, I tried it with PLA and it was only partially successful, TPU might be a better choice)
All components are designed to print on their front face. The recessed versions of the frames will require supports, and I also recommend using a brim to keep them from lifting in the corners.
