Goliath A5T toolhead

It's still in testing. So far so good, just some minor gripes but nothing that makes the toolhead not perform.

• This version is made for M3x8 flatheads. You need to drill and tap the radiator for M3 bolts. Reasoning behind this is that the M2.5 bolts that I got with the toolhead were soft as shi-, so to properly fix that I just upped the size.

• Flatheads instead of normals for maximizing plastic above the radiator, extruder might not sit flush with the top of the shroud but instead on the flatheads themselves - heating the bolt a bit when tightening can alleviate that.

• 2510 fan is bolted directly into plastic with M3 bolts, do not manhandle it. 4 bolts is perfect, 2 is enough.

• Two topmost bolts are either normal hexhead or flat hex M3x30 compared to what A4T/A5T extruder adapter used to use. They are not needed, but add considerable amount of rigidity.

• Fully assembled weight without linear rail frame and extruder is 180grams.
  

Use paint on supports for the duct enterances and for HEF. Using one bolt to mount the fan is enough in my experience.

M3 heat inserts are melted into the fans like for Reaper toolhead and mounted with regular M3 bolts. IF you are having issues with your toolhead mount not clearing the fan bolts, then use flatheads instead of normal hexheads. For M3 version all the heat inserts go into the fans, motor side.

05.02.2026 update - added a lip infront of the HEF to reduce hot air recirculation. My ASA-GF cowl made with 5-6 walls and 40% infill melted after 2 hours in 72C chamber (look at last photos). Luckily M3 flatheads did not let go. Also changed the ducting to be alot tighter around the Goliath radiator. If you print in up to 65C chamber with at least 10k RPM HEF installed and nozzle up to 280C, you should have no issues as long as you use at least ABS fiber material for the cowl.

27.02.2026 update - been using fans with just the bolts installed that are in the front of the toolhead, they sit in rigidly; also added Orbiter 2/2.5 extruder support.

06.06.2026 update - added Rapido UHF adapter piece. get four M3 nuts and bolts, install the adapter with hex nuts inside the adapter to the Rapido and then install the assembly to the A5T with M3 bolts.
