Description
Why print a rail? Real SBR20 rails are heavy, long, and hard to cut. This printable model is perfect for:
Mocking up builds: Visualize your frame size and component placement before ordering hardware.
Fit Testing: Check if your 3D printed linear bearings or custom sliding blocks fit the 20mm profile correctly.
Visual Props: For photography or non-functional display models.
Features
Standard Dimensions: Models the 20mm shaft and the aluminum support base.
Extendable: You can print multiple segments and align them (using small pins or glue) to create a longer test track.
Mounting Holes: Includes the standard pre-drilled mounting hole pattern found on real SBR rails.
Orientation: Print vertically (standing up) for the smoothest surface on the round shaft, OR horizontally for strength (supports will be needed for the underside of the shaft).
Layer Height: 0.16 mm or 0.20 mm (Lower layer height helps make the round shaft smoother).
Infill: 10-15% is sufficient for a mockup.
Material: PLA is perfect for this.
