Description
A timelapse dolly rig I constructed from an aluminum sliding rail I acquired long ago. The rail came with an aluminum sled, but I removed the slider bearings and affixed them to a 3D printed sled instead. I designed a belt tensioner using regular 6mm timing belts and components. The belt tensioner just uses a random spring from a shampoo bottle dispenser along with M3 bolts / nuts
The brains of the timelapse dolly is an Arduino Uno with a DollyShield from http://shieldlist.org/dynamicperception/dolly
Printable buttons can be done in TPU or PLA.
The motor is a no-named ~1RPM planetary gear setup I purchased for a robotics project in college.
