I love these filament samples! (https://www.printables.com/model/862027-floppydisk-filament-sample) Such a fun and practical design - but I am old enough to not only remember the 3 1/2 storage cases... I even had a couple still in my workshop! The designs for cases I could find were fine... but they didn't give me the same sense of nostalgia and fun the samples did. So, based on my cases, I designed my own! Not sure if this hits the mark for you - but I am definitely proud of how well this turned out!
This case comfortably holds up to 25 samples, but also has ridges in the bottom, so even a single sample will not slide down on it's own. The lid, once printed, simply snaps into the base, and I also built in a latching mechanism. Note: latch may be a little snug when first printed, making it a little difficult to open. I erred on that side as I figure it will wear a little over time, and I didn't want it popping open when in transit. Feel free to hit the outer left and right of the lid with some light sandpaper to adjust to your own comfort level.
I have also modeled in supports, so these should print easily. I printed the base with a matte PLA and the lid with HD Glass (PETG).
