Description
Hello there :) i am a ZimaCube backer and fost some time i was thinking to upgrade the top cover and side panels for the ZimaCube Pro Creator, i made from scrach the first version, but the dust was a pain in the *SS :D every few months needed to stop the server and clean the dust, i had time to create and modify (Side panel) with dust mesh and magnets to be easier to clean, i will share some photos and few tips along with the stl files :D
The side panel is @PigLover version, i just modified the hdd fan, also the upper fans are 60mm
The Print
I used a holographic build plate (just for smooth and clean face) you can use what you have.
On mesh integration i used a dust mesh (0.25mm thickness) ordered from aliexpress a while ago.. the mesh came in a tube, so it was not straight, i used a clothes iron to make it flat (put a cloth on top to protect the mesh from scratch)
import the stl on slicer (orca slicer in my case) and on 4th line of printing, add a custom code:
M600 ; Printer will pause the print, so you can add the mesh G4 S1 ; wait 1 second SET_GCODE_OFFSET Z_ADJUST=0.22 ; Raise the Z offset with 0.22mm for the cover also glue the mesh (that's why i have not used 0.25)4. When the 4th line is almost done, manually pause the printer and use a cutter to cut the mesh smaller then outer wall (it will not leave any gap) after you can resume the print. These settings are for both mesh panels..
Materials used:
Dust mesh
magnets: 16pcs * 6x1.6mm
holographic build plate: fiber carbon
Printed with Azure Matte black PLA, infill 25%
Feel free to use my upgraded panels.
coming soon: other side panel for Nvidia fan.
