Description

These cover exterior door frames that have the all too common wood rot at the bottom. They are thin and glue/ caulk directly over your existing wood so homeowners that may not have the knowledge or tools to properly replace the wood rot can have a solution for it. These may also work to prevent rot on good wood as well if you would like to use them that way.

 FILES:

The full set with 2 sided trim covers are for exterior doors that the trim butts up to the wall/brick on the outside

The full set with 3 sided trim covers are for door frames that do not butt up against any walls/brick (the 3 sided is the one shown in pictures above)

NOTE* You may need to extend the brickmold trim covers by 12mm/ 1/2in if your particular door frame has the style where the outside trim goes down further than the threshold. Not all door frames are designed this way but some are. I modeled these for door frames that have both the frame and trim land on the threshold. These will work either way but the two parts of the covers just wouldn't be even with each other if it's the other style unless you extend it.

 PRINT SETTINGS:

Any hard filament will work, but PETG will be more heat resistant if your door gets direct sunlight in summer.

Brim recommended since the trim covers don't have much surface contact on the build plate.

Also, If you have a smooth build plate that will work best since the inside frame covers are printed face down (otherwise you get the texture of the plate on the face, not a big deal but might bother some)

If you would like to leave a tip for my hard work you can do so here :D https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/Y5DRF7PN8S5AJ
