You were born and raised in the chaos of the city, not the wild forests. Your background is Urban Bounty Hunter. You know the alleys, the rooftops, and the secrets of the underworld. You likely started as an elite mercenary, specialized in tracking down those who didn't want to be found. But everything changed when you claimed Blackrazor. That sword is not just an object; it is an eternal hunger that you now share. You went from collecting bounties in gold to collecting souls for your blade. Your nature is chaotic, just like the weapon you wield: you care little for the law, only for power and survival.

2. The Build (Level 1-18)

To become the Shadowreaper, you underwent brutal training to maximize your ability to lock down enemies and annihilate spellcasters.

Monstrous Stats: You are at the peak of physical condition, likely magically enhanced. You possess a Strength of 22 (+6) and a Dexterity of 20 (+5). You don't just hit hard; you are incredibly difficult to pin down.

The Path of Feats (Your Evolution): As a Variant Human, you had access to advanced techniques from the very beginning. Here are the deadly skills you have mastered:

1. Slasher: You know exactly where to cut to maim. You reduce an enemy's speed by 10 feet when you hit them. If you crit, they have Disadvantage on all attack rolls.

2. Sentinel: No one escapes you. If they try to Disengage, you hit them anyway. If you hit them with an opportunity attack, their speed becomes 0. You are an impassable wall.

3. Mage Slayer: The nightmare of spellcasters. If they cast a spell next to you, you strike them as a reaction. You have Advantage on saving throws against their spells. You break their concentration with ease.

4. Great Weapon Master: You sacrifice precision (-5 to hit) for devastating damage (+10). If you crit or kill a target, you strike again as a bonus action.

5. Fell Handed (UA): You are a master with axes. This feat allows you to knock enemies prone and even displace their shields to assist your allies.

• Devour Soul: Whenever you use it to reduce a creature to 0 hit points, the sword slays the creature and devours its soul, unless it is a construct or an undead. A creature whose soul has been devoured can be restored to life only by a Wish spell.

  • When it devours a soul, Blackrazor grants you Temporary Hit Points equal to the slain creature’s hit point maximum. These hit points last for 24 hours.

• Soul Hunter: While you hold these Temporary Hit Points and wield Blackrazor, you have Advantage on all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks.

• Sentience: Blackrazor is a chaotic neutral sentient weapon with an Intelligence of 17, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 19. It can speak telepathically with you.

• The Hunger: The sword must consume a soul at least once every 3 days. If it does not, it attempts to consume your soul at the next sunset.

3.2 Obsidian Reaper Axe (Custom)

A brutal axe hewn from jagged obsidian, designed to maim and overwhelm.

• Damage: 1d8 Slashing (1d10 Versatile) + STR Mod

Special Abilities:

• Critical Laceration (The 3-Hit Combo): If you successfully hit the same creature 3 times in a single turn with this weapon, the target suffers a Critical Bleed.

  • Effect: The target is wracked with pain and blood loss. It has Disadvantage on all Attack Rolls until the start of your next turn.

  • Blood Frenzy: Triggering Critical Laceration allows you to make one additional weapon attack as a Bonus Action against that target immediately.

• Hamstring: This weapon is designed to cripple movement. When you hit a creature with an attack, its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn (This property stacks with the Slasher feat).

• Obsidian Fragility: If you roll a Natural 1 on an attack roll, the obsidian edge chips. The weapon loses its magical properties until you finish a Short Rest to sharpen it.

Player Cheat Sheet: Synergies

• Against Bosses: Use Blackrazor. The Advantage on everything + Haste makes you nearly unkillable and ensures your Great Weapon Master attacks (-5 hit / +10 dmg) land consistently.
