Description
I created this display model for my wife, who works at a hardware store. The model is used to explain the different types of indoor/outdoor swings to customers. I'm uploading it here so that people who might need this niche print can do so. My current print area is large, and I designed these models for ease of printing. I will create a file for smaller printers and upload it soon. Multiece files added!
The door displayed requires a pause mid-print. Instructions are below. I included a solid door that prints normally.
All parts are printed horizontally (as uploaded).
Frame.stl prints as a single piece. It needs supports.
Horizontal Panel Glass Door (Door B) - Follow the instructions below.
The frame slips into the slots in the base. This is done at the same time that the doors are placed in position. Both the frame and the base have circular holes where the rods on the doors go. They shouldn't need any glue, but it depends on the quality of your print. The handles have to be glued to the door.
To complete this model, you need to:
Pre-print 20 copies of Door B-Glass - x20.stl.
Set your slicer to pause your print mid-way. Don't use supports on Door B-1 - x2.stl or Door B-2 - x2.stl.
Insert the pre-printed "glass" panels in the open spaces during the pause
Unpause it and let the printer print over them.
