Description

The P1 arrives with a spare battery to quickly continue scanning after the first one dies. In its original case it has quite a nice and protected place but I like to toss the P1 in other cases or bags so the battery has to go with it. Since it has exposed pins (not exposed but something like a key or coin could lodge in the contacts) I wanted a small protective cover that just slides on the battery and protects the pins from any foreign material. The part I came up with must be printed from TPU and is friction fit on the battery and is small enough to still fit on one of the compartments of the original case when using it.
You may also look at the lens protector and lens covers I designed for the P1 to allow transport outside of the original case (still pay attention not to damage the scanner).

Printing and Assembly

I just used my A1 Mini and some cheap Geetech TPU, 0,4mm nozzle works fine and a softer TPU may be preferable. After printing remove eventual stringing from the parts and slide the protector on the battery when transporting it outside of the original case.
