Description
I created this model because I needed a cover for Ukitake's katana for cosplay. I tried to make it out of wood, but the result was tedious and unsightly. So I decided to model a 3D model for printing.
I recommend cutting through the center for printing and adding two or more pins for precise alignment. I personally printed it this way and the result was excellent, and no supports were needed. To prevent it from falling apart, I glued the model together with cyanoacrylate adhesive.
The model is ready for magnets to be inserted, but if you glue it to the rest of the katana, they are not necessary.
Printing parameters:
I used PET-G material, 5 perimeters, 5 top/bottom infill, 25% infill.
