PolyDryer / SnapDryer Center Desiccant Box

There are similar designs available, but I felt they had some flaws I wanted to fix with this  design:

1. Increased friction due to rougher and bigger contact area with the spool

2. No holes in end plates, reducing potential air exchange

3. Glued together, i.e. can't be opened without damage. That is really an issue if you want to take the desiccant out for to dry it in another container.

Therefore I designed this little alternative.

• Spool only touches the original spindle tube --> contact surface (i.e. friction) stays the same as w/o the box

• More openings for better airflow

• Lid snaps in place and can be easily opened again

Print the stp files for better quality. STL files are for online 3D viewer.

Let me know if you need other diameters to fit your favorite spools better. I published the smallest version that fits all the spools I have.
