This is a project that was originally posted on thingiverse that is now being cross posted to printables.
This small, tabletop 2-heddle weaving loom is a project that I have been working on for many months now, and I've decided to share it with the world, because I think that the machine is a really cool thing that everyone interested should have access to. This tool has an effective weaving width of about 123mm and can make about 1 meter worth of fabric.
I've made this myself with less than one roll of PLA and atleast 8 sets of 6-32"x1/2" nuts and bolts that you can get from the hardware store. I've included a small wrench customized for the 6-32 hardware in the file folder.
Edit 8/19/23:
I've included some additional files for the heddles and a new beater bar that contains a higher epi count, with 2mm spacing between lines. These 2 new files are denoted with the ending "Rev. 2". Thank you to everyone who's liked my project!
Edit 9/2/23
To make this initial process easier for people that might be new to weaving, I have included a basic warping board that can create about a foot and a half worth of fabric. This design is being cross posted in it's own thing, you can find it on my profile! Thanks for downloading!
You will need to print:
1x Front Assembly
1x Rear Assembly
2x Heddle
1x Front Assembly Crossmember
1x Beater Bar
2x Roller Bearing Main
4x Roller Bearing Support
4x Roller Bearing Support Pins
4x Roller Bearing Gear
4x Roller Bearing Gear Stops
2x Warp Load Bar
1x Warp Loading Tool
4x Riser Foot Small (optional)
2x Riser Foot Large (optional)
1x Titan Industries Nameplate (optional of course but appreciated)
Additional assembly instructions:
You will want to print the rear assembly with the nameplate side facing down with support.
You will want to print the front assembly with the warping bar facing your build plate so that more support than necessary is not made.
There might be more that you have to re-orientate.
I like to use yarn to thread the warp load bars onto holes of the roller bearing main pieces.|
