Description
Over the span of the past year or so, I worked on improving my design based on suggestions from people who drive it, as well as issues I found myself. Based on this, I made following updates:
suspension block screws moved inward for more clearance around the inner hinge pins - previous design could be too tight around the hinge pins, seizing the arms.
additional reinforcements around the suspension block mounts
Pockets for hexagonal M3 nuts in the suspension block mounts (previously included in the V2.1 update). You'll need M3x10 screws for suspension mounts.
pockets for M3 square nuts in horizontal holes
modifications for proper fitment of yeah racing aluminium suspension kit
motor cover for some dust protection
Extra holes to optionally run long bolts through, to strengthen some critical parts (previously included in the V2.1 update):
Rear damper stay (M3x26mm or longer, countersunk)
Left body post mount (M3x35mm)
Bottom hole of the inner gear mount to clamp the three parts of the gearbox together. (M3x20mm)
Additionaly, I've made several optional parts (some released earlier as remixes of the previous version), that will be all included on this model page:
A 1510 bearing variant that allows use of M-05 ball diff and sealed gear diff in the rear.
a second set of stock gears #50738 is required, as GB2 gear doesn't fit anymore and needs to be replaced with a G1 gear.
Multiple toe-in angle variants of the rear suspension blocks, including variants with dowstops for M-05 V.2 arms
Shock tower with upper suspension link mounts, which allows use of different rear hubs and entire rear axle subassemblies with different widths (compatible models include TL-01(B,LA), GF-01, GF-02 and M-05, M-06)
you'll need #50797 5mm short adjuster, and 2x 12mm step screw to use it with stock suspension.
Different motor mount designs, including:
Aluminium motor mount for stock gearing, for improved reliability when running strong & hot motors:
files include DWG drawing of the mount.
Additionally, you'll need Tamiya #19808016 steering post, 3x6x5mm spacer and M3x12 and M3x6 screw)
Low speed gearing, using #53665 TT-01 55T spur gear to get as low as 20:1 gear ratio for use in trail models.
countersunk M3x10 screws are required to assembly the motor mount
It requires new idler shaft - its drawing is in the files.
Warning: The model wasn't tested beyond couple of indoor runs.
Assembly is same as the previous version, you can use its description as a guide:
