Description
Tired of pulling your Prusa Core One or Prusa Core One+ away from the wall just to plug in the accelerometer?
This mount relocates the Input Shaper accelerometer connection from the rear of the printer to a more accessible location inside the enclosure — eliminating the need to move your machine every time you calibrate.
Designed specifically for:
Prusa Core One
Prusa Core One+
I have about 40 of the 2 connector boards available. You would need to buy the connectors and assemble.
Caps are optional. I added to assist with some ripple I see on VCC however, they are not necessary.
The new boards (rev1.1) have SMB pads for a mid (.1uf) and high (4.7mf) frequency decoupling cap (0603) on VCC.
Cost: 50 cents + shipping (small padded envelope plus postage).
Message me if interested.
The factory accelerometer connector location requires physical access to the rear panel. For many setups (especially enclosed or wall-adjacent installations), this means:
Moving the printer
Disconnecting cables
Risking strain on power/network connections
Wasting time
This adapter solves that.
Relocates accelerometer connection inside the printer
Maintains clean cable routing
Designed for secure, vibration-safe mounting
No permanent modification required
Fully reversible
Precise fit for Core One / Core One+
Strong, rigid mounting geometry
Clean internal aesthetics
Maintains airflow and clearance
Single connector option with a hardwired harness from mount to Buddy board
Dual connector option allowing a stock Prusa cable assembly to be used between mount and Buddy board
2 connector board can be rotated 180 degree to allow ease of cable insertion for left or right handed users.
So far I have performed over "2000" tests (insert shaper cable, test, remove shaper cable, repeat, without the decoupling caps, and have had a total of 4 failures during calibration of the shaper. That is better than .002% failures or 99.998% success.
(Prusa Core One / Core One+)
Same procedure for the single or dual connector option of the mount assembly
2.5mm hex driver (or appropriate driver for factory screws)
T10 Torx Key (or appropriate driver for factory screws)
M3-6 screw (included with kit)
Wire ties (included)
Wire cutters
Move the printer to a location where you have access to both the front and rear.
Remove the single plastic rivet from the rear panel.
Remove the rear sheet metal cover
(2 screws from the internal side of the printer).
Remove the xBuddy cover
(6 screws).
Place all removed screws in a safe location — you will reuse them during reassembly.
Remove the lower 2 screws holding the rear dual-fan assembly.
Remove the upper 2 screws holding the rear dual-fan assembly.
Place all screws in a safe location — you will reuse them.
Position the Input Shaper Mount assembly on the internal rear side of the printer.
Insert the provided M3-6 screw from the outside rear of the printer (through the hole where the plastic rivet was removed).
Carefully thread the screw into the mount.
Ensure the mount sits flush against the rear chamber assembly.
Do not fully tighten at this time.
Guide the Input Shaper wire harness through the oval opening in the rear chamber.
Route it alongside the two fan cables.
Feed the harness into the right-side opening of the xBuddy enclosure.
Ensure the rubber grommets are properly seated in their openings after routing the cables.
The grommets should sit fully flush in the metal cutout.
No part of the grommet should be pinched or folded.
Plug the connector into the dedicated Input Shaper port on the xBuddy board.
Secure the harness using the provided wire ties.
Trim wire ties
⚠ Ensure the cable is not twisted, strained, or pinched.
Reinstall the fan assembly beginning with the lower 2 screws.
Loosely tighten.
Do not overtighten — the fan grid can crack.
Ensure the Input Shaper harness runs vertically between the two fans.
Install the upper 2 screws, aligning the fan and cables properly.
Loosely tighten both upper screws.
Insert the Input Shaper Spacer into the space between the mount and the fan assembly.
Snap the spacer over the tops of the two upper fan screws.
While applying light pressure to keep the spacer seated, tighten the two upper screws.
Tighten the two lower fan screws.
⚠ Ensure:
The spacer remains flush
No wires are pinched
Screws are snug but not overtightened
Before reinstalling covers:
Power on the printer.
Verify the Input Shaper is detected and functioning properly.
Reattach the rear sheet metal cover.
Reinstall the xBuddy cover.
Reinstall any remaining hardware.
Tighten the M3-6 mounting screw installed in Step 3.
Do not overtighten.
No more shifting your printer around just to tune it.
You have multiple ways to complete this project:
You may purchase the assembled board, connectors, and optional cable directly from me.
Or you may source your own components and build the board yourself.
For those who prefer DIY sourcing, the Gerber files for the PCB are provided so you can order boards from your preferred PCB manufacturer.
You will need to add the Clik-Mate 6 pin connectors, part number: 503159-0600 and an M3-6 screw.
This keeps the project flexible — whether you want a ready-to-install solution or prefer building your own hardware.
