FT-60E/R 18650 battery pack with internal BMS

This is an 18650 battery pack for the FT-60R radio. It uses two unprotected 18650 cells and a 2s 3a 18650 BMS board. It uses M3 screws for the lid. Use a 3MM-0.50 for the tap.

Over 1 year and the first pack I made (pictured) is still going strong! One thing I added after some use was some gasket-maker around the perimeter of the pack where it meets up with the edge of the radio, for waterproofing.

For the radio contacts, it uses small pieces of nickel strip that are cut by hand to fit. Nickel strip for spot welding batteries was used.

It uses "Keystone 209 Cell Leaf spring battery contact 18650" for the battery contacts. When assembling the lower contacts in the pack, it is necessary to trim down the keystone 209 contacts in order for them to fit into their slots on the lower part of the pack. You can then use a small screwdriver to lever them open in order to put them on.
