Description
This 3D topographic model represents the terrain of Medellín, Colombia, generated from a high-resolution 1-meter LiDAR Digital Elevation Model (DEM).
The terrain has been processed and optimized for 3D printing, featuring a 3X vertical exaggeration to enhance valley depth and mountain definition while preserving geographic accuracy.
The final model is designed at a 1:70,000 scale with a physical size of 400 x 400 mm, making it ideal for wall display, educational purposes, architectural visualization, or geospatial presentation.
The model highlights the complex morphology of the Aburrá Valley, showcasing ridgelines, drainage patterns, and the dramatic elevation contrast that defines the region.
Optimized for large-format FDM or resin printing.
