Smoking cessation aid - fake cigarette

When my friend was diagnosed with lung cancer, he had to stop smoking quickly.

The chemist provided patches but having nothing in his hand was a big part of the addiction.

I created this dummy cigarette as a smoking cessation aid, it helped in a small way and thankfully he is still with us over a year later.

The device has a similar weight and feel to a cigarette, it also has internal channels and a venturi chamber, drawing air through it feels very similar to drawing smoke through a cigarette (as close as can be with no smoke or heat).

I have given these to a few people now, the feedback has all been positive, it has helped on their journey to being smoke-free :-)

I have had success printing these flat in PLA+

Some people like the 'filter' end to be coloured, I used acrylic paints to do this

I post-processed these by light sanding and two coats of lacquer, this is to seal the surface and help cut down on bacteria forming in crevices

Please wash regularly and consider these disposable like any FDM item you would put in your mouth
