Description
I'm calling this the RAKshare. A bracket for the RAK Unify 180x130x60mm enclosure to mount:
RAK 1W booster 19007 / 3401 / 13302 board.
Waveshare Solar Power Manager (D).
Adafruit INA3221 STEMMA QT board for power monitoring.
Adafruit (or other) 1S3P 18650 battery packet.
I've chosen the Waveshare board to pair with the RAK 1W because it has a bit higher 3A output on the 5V than other solar board which are closer to 1A only. The RAK 1W needs about 1.5A to safely prevent brownouts on the nrf52840.
Wire the 5V out from the solar board to the EX_5V connector on the RAK13302. Set the jumper to EX_5V. This will power both the radio and the nrf52840. I'm using the RAK13009 QWIIC connector to go from the 19007 to the INA3221. Wire the positive leads from solar and battery (and 5V out if you want) through the INA3221 to monitor them.
I recommend printing with 3 walls. Everything else can be to your liking. I didn't need any supports for the overhangs on PETG.
