Description
Since 7900 series Cisco Phones were produced in the deep 00's and were made of plastic with tendention to disintegrate shortly after Cisco announcing EOL for them, plenty of 7970's, 7940's etc. are sold on marketplaces for cheap because of broken stands. There is already model of stand mechanism made by Stefan but to get into the phone, sometimes (or just for convenience) you need to disassemble said stand from the body of the phone.Â
That's when our hero could be needed if you don't have luck - to get rid of the stand, you need to unjam two of these pins from the clever contraption™ by prying or (as some tutorials on Youtube say) by hitting them from certain angle.
Depending on model, age and much more other factors, old plastic can snap. Hopefully, you can print it in a jiffy, right?
Right.
