Description
Keep your phone within arm's reach — no nightstand needed. This bedside phone holder hooks securely onto your bed frame and holds your phone upright in a sleek honeycomb pocket. Grab it in the dark, charge it overnight, done.
Fully parametric. Every dimension is adjustable in OpenSCAD — phone width, depth, holder height, hook depth, wall thickness, hex pattern density, corner rounding, and more. On MakerWorld, just use the built-in Customizer to dial in your exact dimensions without installing anything.
Fits any phone — Customize dimensions for your exact phone + case combo. Pre-made STLs included for popular models (iPhone, Galaxy, Pixel).
Fits any bed frame — Adjustable hook depth with 3 presets (thin/standard/thick). Measure your frame, pick a preset or customize.
Honeycomb pattern — Configurable hex size, fill ratio, and per-wall toggle (front, back, left, right). Saves filament and looks great. Can be fully disabled if preferred.
No supports needed — Prints upside-down with zero overhangs. Just slice and print.
Semi-circular top cutout — Easily grab your phone even in the dark.
Rounded corners — Adjustable corner radius for a polished look and comfortable handling.
Optional bottom fillet — Smooth interior edges prevent scratching your phone.

Important: Pre-made STLs are approximate. For the best fit, measure your phone + case with calipers and customize the dimensions. Add 2-3 mm tolerance to your measurements.
In OpenSCAD: Open PhoneNightStand_Customizer.scad, go to View → Customizer. All parameters are organized into tabs: Phone Dimensions, Hook, Box Construction, Hexagon Pattern, and Pattern Offset.
Key measurements you need:
Phone width (with case) — measure the short edge
Phone thickness (with case) — measure the thickest point
Bed frame thickness — measure the top rail where the hook sits
The model is already oriented for printing (opening faces up). No supports, no brim, no hassle.
Tip: Silk PLA looks fantastic with the honeycomb pattern (see gold version in photos).
Note on honeycomb pattern: The hex cutouts can be challenging to print cleanly. For best results, use a low layer height (0.12–0.16 mm) on the walls with the pattern. If you're having trouble or prefer a simpler print, the honeycomb can be completely disabled in the Customizer by setting the fill ratio to zero or toggling off all walls.
