Description
This is an enclosure for mounting the Gaggimate Pro PCB alongside a SSR on the back or side of your machine, to keep fingers or pets from getting near any mains electronics.
I designed this for the Gaggimate conversion of my Delonghi ECP, which doesn't have enough space on the inside to fit both the SSR and the Gaggimate Pro PCB.
You will need to drill a hole in the case of the machine to route the cables from inside to the box. Line up the hole at the bottom of the box with it and attach the box using double-sided tape. Alternatively, you can drill holes and use rivets or screws to secure it. Either way, make sure it can't be ripped off by kids or pets, as there's mains voltage involved!
There are different versions of the case and lid. Some of them have vents to cool the PCB and SSR, but I understand that you might not want holes that water could get into and short out the electronics, so I added some without.
If you have a printer that can print with different materials, you could print the top 1mm of the box as TPU, which should help with waterproofing.
You should definitely also add a gasket or sealant around the wire pass-through.
There are also different versions of the lid to suit everyone's taste: plain, with embossed letters, or with the letters included as bodies for multicolor printing.
