Description
Simple magnet-locked carrying case designed for the FiiO Snowsky Disc portable player.
I wanted a compact, minimal case that:
protects the player during transport
prevents scratches in a backpack
closes securely without bulky latches
Features
Two-part design (base + lid)
Integrated magnet lock
Snug fit for FiiO Snowsky Disc
Magnet holes designed for tight press-fit (no glue required)
Easy to print (no supports required)
Parts List
4 or 6 × 3×8 mm neodymium magnets
(You can insert either 2 or 4 magnets in the base for stronger locking.)
1 × M3×35 screw
1 × M3 heat insert
(A regular nut can be used, but it will require a longer screw.)
Printing Notes
Magnet holes are designed as a very snug press fit, so glue is not required.
This requires a well-tuned and dimensionally accurate 3D printer.
If your printer tends to over-extrude, you may need to slightly modify 3d model before printing.
Tested on: Bambu Lab X1C
Assembly
Print both parts.
Press-fit magnets (check polarity before installation).
Install heat insert (if used).
Assemble with the M3 screw.
