Description
Here are two different ways of capping off the business end of your 8x10 film holder. You may not need this, but I have some old film holders and I do long exposures. These are to prevent stray light from making it into the film holder when the dark slide is removed, in case the light trap is compromised from age and use.
You can consider it a substitute for just leaving the dark slide shoved in a little bit. I don't want to do that because it acts like a sail in windy conditions.
The "cap" version fits over the end of a Lisco/Fidelity plastic 8x10 film holder. It snaps on easily.
The "plug" version shoves in the slot of most any 8x10 film holder. You can secure it with the L-tabs that most holders have to keep the dark slide in.
