H3 Case - Megapack, for Heltec v3 running Meshtastic

The H3 case features the following modifications over the H1, based on my own experience printing and using the H1 case, and user feedback accumulated from the original model's makes, remixes, and comments.

• Multiple sizes to accommodate the following batteries commonly used in meshtastic devices:

  • Muziworks H1 battery (1200mAh) (this is the original battery that the H1 case was made to fit)

  • Makerfocus 1100mAh (SKU: 6375887)

  • Makerfocus 2000mAh (SKU:  7231950)

  • Makerfocus 3000mAh (SKU:  6680133)

  • Adafruit 1200mAh (Product ID: 258)

  • Makerfocus 10,000mAh (SKU: 6749083) (absurd, but why not?)

• Accommodates larger antennas up to 12mm at the base

• The pocket below the SMA hole has been elongated to accommodate the rigid area of the pigtail sheath so that it doesn't have to bend around as sharp of a corner.

•  The back of the case has holes for M3 heat-set inserts (up to 3.7mm in length) rather than the original printed plastic threads for a stronger connection

• There are now two screw holes - one on the top and the bottom for stronger connection.

• The lanyard hole was moved from the bottom of the device to the top so that the node doesn't hang “upside down” as some users requested

• Reduced branding on the front face: No text, no bridging inlays, alternative “meshtastic” - themed grooves

• Eliminated branding on the back of the case

To use this model, first identify the battery that you wish to use and download the front and back files with your desired battery in the file name. The original button model from the H1 case is compatible with all size H3 cases.

Recommended Print Settings:

• Recommended layer height: 0.15mm

  • The floating screw holes were modeled with this layer height in mind. Alternative layer heights may result in failure to bridge or poor print quality in these areas.

• Infill: 20%

• 4 perimeters
