Low Profile Door Latch Dust Box

A latch dust box is a small insert installed behind a door latch to cover the typically rough or splintered cutout. It provides a cleaner look and easier to clean too.

The dust box supplied with this Omnia Door Latch is 3/4" deep.  Since the latch mechanism itself only requires about 3/8" of clearance, I designed this lower-profile version to reduce the required mortise depth while still fully enclosing the opening.

Included Fusion and STEP files for easy remixing.

Dimensions:

• internal dimensions (box) - 32mm x 20mm

• outer dimensions (flange) - 68mm x 24mm

• depth - 11.1mm (~ 7/16")

Printing:

• Does require supports.  Print on its back with tree supports for the flange.
