Ash vacuum magnetic filter cover

As soon as I bought my generic ash vacuum cleaner with 10L capacity, I noticed that the HEPA filter would cake up with ash extremely quickly, well before vacuuming up 10L of ash. So I designed this magnetic cover that goes over it, and allows air to get to the filter only from the very top of the container. This should ensure that more ash is vacuumed before a bunch of it clogs the filter.

Compatibility

This cover works with HEPA filters that are at most 150mm in diameter and around 120mm in height. Being a magnetic cover the filter needs to have the bottom side made out of metal to allow the cover to attach to it.

BOM

• 5 to 10 6x3 magnets. If they have strong attraction you can use 5, otherwise you can make stacks of two on the bottom. Holes are oversized (6.2x3.2) to fit most magnets even if they have small size differences, add a dab of superglue if the fit is loose

Printing

any setting is fine really, the filter is thin enough that you won't need infill for the most of it, 2 perimeters @0.2 layer height have worked good in my print
