Description

A friend broke his expensive glass shower mounted soap dish and asked if I could help out.

This simple two-piece print works best if assembled with a few drops of CA glue to keep the pieces apart.  They are designed with a locating groove but are not “click in place”.

You can choose a drained dish or a solid one, and two heights of stand - if you are going to use the dish as a drained unit on a basin, the shorter version will allow water to escape, while the longer one was designed to fit in my friend's shower mount.

I've printed these in PLA in 0.2mm QUALITY mode in Prusa Slicer with Ironing enabled: “All Top Surfaces”.    This creates a lovely set of concentric rings on the surface of the dish.

The Drain hole has a drip in the underside which can be a bit problematic with first layer adhesion so I suggest adding a 4mm brim if you are going to print that version.

Note- DO NOT iron the stand part, as this will result in a poor fit in the groove.  It's not the end of the world, and glue fixes everything, but it's just not as satisfying to assemble!
