Description
A small dish with a bolt-lock attachment for wire cages with up to 4.3mm (0.17") thick wires / bars. There are 2 versions:
Version 1: The bolt-lock hole is down inside the bowl instead of raised. This saves materials, but is only recommended for dry goods. Testing showed that placing the hole where liquid can reach it would often leak, so this is the "dry goods" version.
Version 2: The bolt-lock hole is on a raised "tab" above the bowl. This raises it out of the range where liquids could be stored so that the connection doesn't compromise the watertight abilities of the dish. It requires a little bit more filament overall, but it's not a large difference. Testing shows that this can be reliably (3/3 prints) be made waterproof with quality PETG and a quality printer.
An optional gasket model is included to be printed in TPU, but it is currently untested and could need adjustments to ensure proper sealing. Even so, it could be used as a cushioning ring to prevent hard binding of the bolt-lock without requiring a watertight seal.
AI was not used in the remixing of this model, in the design process of any of the model's parts, or used for any of the photos included with this model.
Waterproofing and use with foodstuffs is at your own risk, but some information on how I achieved waterproof parts is included in the attached text file.
