Description
This case was designed for a stroke patient who had reduced hand grip strength and dexterity. Most phone cases are designed with smooth, rounded edges (making them slippery) and minimized buttons to prevent accidental activation. This case is the exact opposite; the sides have ridges and sharper corners to provide improved grip, and more prominent buttons to make them easier to press. The TPU also provides decent impact protection, and stretches over the edges of the phone to firmly hold it in place.
Supports are required for this design. TPU supports can sometimes be difficult to remove; if you have a multi-tool printer, you can use PLA for the supports since it separates easily from TPU.
Solid, non-slip grip
More prominent button pads for improved tactile feel and easier activation
Impact shock protection
Print using TPU with 0.15mm layer height, 2 perimeters, 15% infill.
Supports are required. Auto-generated organic supports were used for the print shown in the pictures.
Reducing the bridging speed can help with TPU if you are having problems with bridges.
The case shown in the pictures used Overture HS TPU Black.
Please DO NOT use the .bgcode file that has been provided (always slice your own files for your specific printer, filament, nozzle, environment, etc.). The file uses customized profiles, and was only included to provide a reference for approximate print time.
