Description
Modeled on the 6-dot tower.
If using pliant material, this will work on the 4-dot as well (just bend it a little)
If using rigid material like PPA-CF, this will only fit the 6-dot.
The attached 3mf file shows the orientation that I am printing them in. Feel free to experiment. I've not been successful printing them out of TPU which admittedly would be a better material for this. My attempts at doing so have all yielded really bad looking parts.
Using ABS the cover feels sturdy enough and compliant enough to use with 4-dot towers also (pictured in blue) but when printed out of PPA-CF it feels indestructible. I'd rather print 20 and change it several times during a race weekend then have a bad looking TPU version.
I experimented with a variety of thickness and I feel this is the bare minimum to keep wall thickness at the angles thick enough that they don't crack easily on the top radius.
Uses a single M3 screw to mount through the tab and hold in place.
