Description
This model allows you to print your own discs for your disc-bound notebooks.
You can use it to replace lost rings, restock your disc supply, personalize your journal with your favorite colors, or even create entirely new notebooks.
The discs are inspired by the Atoma system but may also be compatible with other systems.
(If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear how it worked for you!)
The discs have an outer diameter of 17.25 mm.
I’ve uploaded two versions of this model:
Two-Part Model
This version requires you to print the outer ring and the middle part separately, which you then assemble later. It offers the smoothest finish for the middle disc but requires careful and precise assembly.
Solid Model
This version is a single, solid piece that can be printed with or without supports. The middle part will be slightly rougher, depending on your printers bridging capabilities or support settings.
For both types, I recommend printing on a smooth build plate (although a textured plate will also work). Be sure to ensure good bed adhesion and closely monitor the first layer. Additionally, take care when using filaments prone to warping.
