Description

First of all, full credit and a big thank you to DraconPern for the original Dyson extension design. I really liked the model and the overall concept – it works great and looks fantastic.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to upload this as a formal remix, so I want to explicitly apologize to DraconPern for that. This design is heavily inspired by the original, and I truly appreciate the work that went into it.

What I Changed

I stayed very close to the original concept but made a few personal modifications to better fit my needs:

🔵 1. Round Nozzle Instead of Square

The original version features a square nozzle. I redesigned it with a round nozzle for improved airflow characteristics and a look that better matches my other attachments.

🧱 2. Increased Wall Thickness

To make the part more robust and durable, I increased the wall thickness to 2 mm. This gives the nozzle a more solid feel and better long-term stability.

🔴 3. Classic Dyson-Style Red Button

One detail I really wanted to include was the iconic red locking button, which is synonymous with Dyson tools. It adds both functionality and that authentic Dyson appearance.

Printing & Assembly

The model consists of two separate parts:

The Round Nozzle

The Locking Push-Button

Both parts can be printed separately.

The locking mechanism slides into the nozzle and locks securely in place.

No AMS required – just print the parts individually and assemble.

Print Information

I printed my nozzle on the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, and it required the entire build plate.
Due to its size, make sure your printer has sufficient build volume before starting the print.

Again, many thanks to DraconPern for the original inspiration. I hope you enjoy this slightly modified round version as much as I do!

Happy printing! 🛠
