Description
I recently bought the MidWest Homes Handy Doody poop scoop from Amazon. The thing is dirt cheap, works well, should last forever, and has glowing reviews - except for one chief complaint. The handle. And boy, does it suck. It's fiddly, it's uncomfortable, and a little too short if you're tall like me.
So I made this! It's a two-piece threaded design that is super easy to install. prints without supports, but you do need to have good overhang capabilities for the threads. just slide the screw part up the handle from the bottom, then screw the knob on.
I would recommend ASA if you're going to leave it outside, but if you have an open frame printer, give PCTG a shot. It's a great ASA replacement if you don't have an enclosure. Otherwise, PETG is probably fine. Heck, you can always print another, if you want to try PLA it's no skin off my back.
Happy scoopin'!
