Description
This is a custom insert system for the Apache 1800 Case designed to securely store and organize 9mm ammunition. The model was dimensioned using 115 grain FMJ 9mm Luger rounds and holds a total of 300 rounds (150 rounds shown in photos).
The system consists of four printed parts:
bottom_tray
top_tray
lid
lid_insert
When fully assembled inside the case, everything fits tightly with no room for movement.
The bottom_tray holds 150 rounds and is designed to remain in the case long-term.
Features a fillet along the bottom edges to match the inner contours of the Apache 1800 case.
Not intended for frequent removal.
Forms the foundation for the rest of the system.
The top_tray sits directly on top of the bottom tray and also holds 150 rounds.
Easily removable for access to the lower tray.
Designed for quick range access and convenient handling.
The lid assembly creates additional storage space inside the case lid.
Friction fits into the case lid.
Includes a rectangular cutout for the lid_insert.
Uses four 0.118 in L × 0.315 in disc magnets glued in place with an epoxy/E6000 or equivalent.
Fits into the lid’s rectangular opening.

Creates a storage cavity behind it for empty ammo boxes, notes, etc.
Includes two finger slits for removal.
The magnets are strong; if needed, a zip tie threaded through the slits provides additional leverage for removal.
Measured using 115 grain FMJ 9mm Luger.
Total capacity: 300 rounds (150 per tray).
