Description
This is a custom modular wall key hanger designed to be mounted using Command Strips, as I didn’t want to damage my walls. That way, you don’t need to drill into the wall, which makes it a simple and practical solution — especially if you live in an apartment or just prefer to avoid making holes.
As you can see, it features a modular three-part design. First, mount the back piece to the wall using Command Strips. Then attach the top piece, and finally slide the front piece into place. The modular setup makes it easy to assemble and gives it a clean, seamless finish.
I printed the front and top pieces in Wood PLA from a local Swedish store, and I think it gives a really warm and natural look. Of course, you can use any filament you like. The hooks can also be printed in any color to match your style — I chose vanilla white for mine.
For best strength, I recommend printing the wall piece standing upright, in the same orientation as it will be mounted. This makes the hooks stronger. Mine has been holding up perfectly for about a year now.
It’s a straightforward and functional design that has worked well for me, and I hope it can be useful for you too.
I included the fusion 360 project aswell, incase you want to redesign or modify it.
Happy printing!! WOuld love to see others ideas and colorschemes! :D
