This is the original CAD file for 3DBenchy, the renowned 3D printing benchmark first designed in 2015 by Daniel Norée (danielnoree.com).
As of April 9, 2025—celebrating its 10th anniversary—the 3DBenchy CAD file has been released into the Public Domain under the Creative Commons CC0 license, making it freely available for all to use and modify.
On this model page, 3DBenchy is now offered in two convenient formats:
STL Format: Compatible with any slicer software.
STEP Format: Compatible with any CAD software, allowing seamless importation for your projects.
Preloaded FreeCAD File: Ready for immediate use in FreeCAD, an open-source CAD software available for download at freecad.org.
